Great Shelford is one of Cambridgeshire's larger villages with a population of about 4000. It is situated about 4 miles south of the city of Cambridge.

Are you interested in becoming a Parish Councillor? You can read more about what is involved here.

Maybe you are not interested in being on the Parish Council but would be prepared to give a little time to help keep our village looking nice, perhaps by trimming or weeding one of the flower beds or picking up litter near where you live. Or maybe you would be interested in helping with writing a Community Led Plan or would be prepared to volunteer in the case of a local emergency. Any help would be much appreciated. Please contact the Parish Clerk Mr Ian Kydd Tel. 841471 or by email

Here you can see where we are.

The village of Little Shelford is nearby.
